Mindstorming – Powerful Method to Pull You Towards Your Goals
By now, you are thoroughly familiar with the art of Goal Setting and the utilisation of affirmations in accelerating your progress toward achievement of your goals. The practice of writing your goals daily drives them deep into your subconscious mind. Whenever you program a goal or a problem into your subconscious mind in this way and then release it, it is transferred to your super conscious mind, which goes to work to manifest the goal, drawing on all of your knowledge and experience as well as all of the intelligence, ideas and knowledge that has ever existed or that will ever exist.
The affirmation process – clearly writing your goal(s) using a positive statement in the present tense and ensuring that it is personal (i.e. it must commence with the word “I”) – is another powerful way to imprint your goals on your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind will then pass your goal(s) to your super conscious mind, which will automatically and continuously solve every problem and offer solutions to every challenge on the way to your goal(s). It will attract the people and the resources required to achieve your goal(s).
There is a third powerful tool that can jump-start your drive toward your goals. In our Mastermind Mentoring Program with Ronnie, we call this the Mindstorming Method. It consists of four steps:
1. On the top of a clean sheet of paper, write your most important goal in the form of a question. For example, if your goal was to double your income and you were currently earning $50,000 per year, you might post the following question:
“How can I raise my annual income to the $100,000 level in a way that is ethical and sustainable?”
2. Below the question, write down a minimum of 20 answers. Do not concern yourself with assessing or analyzing them. Allow answers to flow out of your stream of consciousness without editing.
When you first begin working with the Mindstorming Method, you may find that the first 10 to 15 answers come easily, and then your mind stalls. At this point, it is critically important that you persist, refusing to stop until you have at least 20 answers. In our experience, the one most valuable, transformative idea is often found in the last two or three answers. Perhaps this is because when we are forced to go beyond the normal boundaries of our critical conscious mind, our super conscious mind kicks in – and this is our true source of brilliance.
3. Review your answers with an open, yet critical mind. Select the one idea or answer that you believe will have the greatest positive impact on your quest to achieve your goal.
4. Immediately put this one idea into action, and persist unwaveringly in its application.
This Mindstorming Method can also be applied to solving a problem. Simply write the problem as a clear question at the top of a clean sheet of paper and then follow the steps outlined above.
Does the Mindstorming Method work? In my own experience, it is one of the most powerful tools I have ever found for problem solving and goal achievement. Do not let its simplicity fool you. Try it out for yourself. Select a goal – perhaps your Major Definite Purpose (the one goal that would have the greatest positive impact on your life) – and rephrase it as a question. Then diligently follow the steps outlined in this newsletter. You will be amazed at the results!
